Certified Health IT Product ListThe Certified HIT Product List (CHPL) provides the authoritative, comprehensive listing of Complete EHRs and EHR Modules that have been tested and certified under the Temporary Certification Program maintained by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC). Each Complete EHR and EHR Module listed below has been certified by an ONC-Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ONC-ATCB) and reported to ONC. Only the product versions that are included on the CHPL are certified under the ONC Temporary Certification Program. Those wanting to take part in the program will use this system to register and participate in the program. eRx Incentive ProgrameRx Incentive ProgramThe Medicare Electronic Prescribing (eRx) Incentive Program, which began January 1, 2009, and is authorized under the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act of 2008 (MIPPA), provides a combination of incentives and payment adjustments for eligible professionals who are or are not successful electronic prescribers. Health IT Workforce DevelopmentHealth IT Workforce DevelopmentAs the nation moves toward a more technologically advanced health care system, providers are going to need highly skilled health IT experts to support them in the adoption and meaningful use of electronic health records. To help address this growing demand, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) has funded the Health IT Workforce Development Program. The goal is to train a new workforce of health IT professionals who will be ready to help providers implement electronic health records to improve health care quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Community College ConsortiaProviders will need an increased workforce of skilled health IT specialists as they transition to electronic health records (EHRs). To address this need, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) created the Community College Consortia to Educate Health IT Professionals in Health Care Program. Hawaii's HIT Workforce Development ProgramThe Western Region Health IT Program (WRHealthIT) is a consortium made up of community colleges from Arizona, Nevada, California and Hawaii. The Western Region Consortium is one of five regions in the National project funded by this two-year ONC project. |
